Christchurch, a photoset
We travelled by train from Kaikoura to Christchurch, and stayed a night there before taking the TranzAlpine over to Greymouth.

The TranzAlpine railway runs straight across the middle of the South Island, from Christchurch to Greymouth. It takes just over four hours and runs through some of the most beautiful mountainous scenery in the country.
